Climate of Rebun Island is very easy to change. You may be wrapped
in a dense fog, caught in a shower or a great wind even if it was
a fine weather when setting out. You need to be equipped with the
same outfit as mild climbing even near the flat land.
When you go trekking, please fully prepare before start with paying
enough attention to the points listed below. Please suppose that
supplying such equipments locally is impossible.

| * | Please prepare trekking shoes with strong soles which
are water proof and sheds water well. It has to be accustomed
shoes. |

Please pack all the belongings up into a rucksack which has about
25 liters capacity and is easy for you to shoulder.
It enables you to walk without holding anything. |

Trekkers are recommended to wear long pants and a long-sleeved
cloth which are made from quick‐drying material and
easy for you to move. Not to make you cool off during
a break, you had better to prepare a windbreaker or
fleece wear. In order to keep your condition, please
wear a quick‐drying cloth with short sleeves under the
long-sleeved cloth ,which enable you to control your
temperature according to the change of temperature.

As a measure of a great wind, a clip should be attached to a hat.
To prevent yourself from injury or a rash caused by
Rhus ambigua, do not forget to wear work gloves. It
is also useful to keep you warm. |

Rain gear is particularly essential in June and July as the weather
easily becomes worse. Good quality gear like Gore-Tex,
which gives moisture out well is easy for you to move,
is the standard outfit. The jacket can be used as a
substitute for a windbreaker. |

Do not bring an umbrella with you. It can be carried
away by the rush of the wind and even inflict a wound
on others. |

There are no public drinking fountains, stores, convenience
stores or restaurants along trekking routes. Please
make sure of bringing water, food and emergency provisions.
To get rid of tiredness, sweets such as chocolate and
candy are also recommended. |

Please bring plastic bags and take litter home. Smokers are supposed
to bring a portable ashtray.。 |

A lot of rare plants range over Rebun Island. All of the plants
in the island are significant for the future. When you go trekking,
please pay attention to the points listed below to conserve beautiful
flowers. |
| * | Before coming to Rebun Island, please wash the bottom of trekking
shoes cleanly. Soil stuck to them may include seeds
and spores of other plants ranging over the other regions.
These exotic plants can reproduce themselves in Rebun
Island and consequently flowers in Rebun Island may
vanish. |
| * | Please do not go into the flower gardens carelessly for photography.
Also do not walk on or step in places except the esplanade.
When you pass others on it, please wait at a large space
until they pass by you. Green roots and leaves of flowers
are ready to bloom in the next season. |
| * | Taking plants of the island home or gather flowers are not allowed. |
| * | Please refrain from using a trekking pole which can damage the
esplanade and plants. |
