Trekking is the best way to enjoy beautiful flowers of Rebun Island. There are many routes from which you can choose to look around them as to your strength or travel plans.

This route, starting from Cape Skoton, covers the west coast. It is the worthiest route of walking and seeing. It takes about 20 kilometers in length. There are flower gardens and waterfalls which allow you to enjoy varied landscapes. If you walk slowly while having a rest or looking at flowers in the interval, it may take ten hours. Please set out early in the morning. It is essential for you to take drink and food since there are not any restaurants.

This route starting from Cape Skoton enables you to look around capes. You can fully enjoy the beauty of nature such as flowers, blue sea and cliffs. Rebunatsumoriso grow in colonies at the end of the course and you can see this cream-colored flower between the end of May and the beginning of June.

Momo Iwa Observatory>>Motochi Lighthouse>>Shiretoko

This route including Momo Iwa Walk, or Rebun Flower Road, is one of the best routes to look around flowers. This route is a treasury of alpine plants since there is a variety of environment such as grassland, marsh and craggy places. You can see a lot of typical flowers of Rebun Island from June to September. Superb views from the west coast and Mt. Rishiri Fuji are also appealing. It takes about two hour and a half.

A mouth Nairo Climbing Route >>The top of Mt.Rebundake

This route is 4.5 kilometers in length and leads from a mouth Nairo Climbing Route to the top of Rebun Dake (Mt. Rebundake). It takes about two hours to go up and about an hour to go down. In a sunny day you can look over wonderful views such as Cape Skoton and Mt. Rishiri Fuji from the top of Mt. Rebundake.

A popular route is from Kafukai to Kafuka which takes about two hours. There are other routes which has Rebun Woodland Path as a starting point. Uennai route is four kilometers in length to go and back, and allows you to see a rocky mountain with a variety of alpine plants. Rebun Taki route is three kilometers in length to go and back and leads you to The Rebun Falls which is called flower valley. Because you need to get over rivers and climb down long sides with ropes, please prepare a suitable climbing outfit.
